P. 1st attack - 250 yards.

2nd attack - 250 yards.

I was in the left hand section led by F/Lt ZIELINSKI. After firing three times at different E/A from 4/500 yds, I saw a Me.109 on the tail of a Spitfire. I followed them down and when below cloud at 4,000 feet I gave the E/A a burst from 250 yards with no visible result. A second burst from the same distance produced an explosion with bright flame, and bits fell off the E/A and it crashed on the shore. I received some fire from the A.A. guns on the coast. I went up into the clouds and eventually landed at Harrowbeer at 15.15 hrs.

Camera was not carried. I fired MG 4 x 270, cannon 2 x 54.
